We know, we know, The Valley is pretty damn hot right now. Still, a trip to Capella Salon in Studio City is worthwhile for ladies with full-figured hair. Shai Amiel is the rodeo master, when it comes to taming curls, having lived in varied hair climates like Hawaii, Arizona, Vegas, Mexico, San Diego and Germany. He's actually a Japanese Bonsai expert too, so preening is a natural gift.
The salon originally opened up shop in 1995, but was recently completely re-hauled . Now, luxe elements pepper the sparse space like chocolate brown leather seats, massage chairs by the wash bowls, so you get more than just a head rubdown, buttercup yellow lanterns and wooden shelving that brims with Capella's high-end product lines like Deva Curl and Kérastase.
As for The Valley: don't worry about the temps. It's a dry heat, after all, so frizz-free. [Racked Wire]
